It has come to my attention that it has been quite awhile since we’ve answered questions out here on the public interface of _bb.
One. We (hereby when I refer to “we,” I mean me—Jose’s Black Book—and friends _water, _scarves, and our human helpers, etc.) just want to say thank-you, in general, for being as awesome and truly loyal as you guys have been. We have responded to some personal messages if you sent them, but a lot are sent anonymously, so we just want to say to those who’ve sent encouraging messages and inquiries along the way (and for every person who ever reblogged or commented)…

Why are you not posting any of the game pages? Has Mourinho told you you are not allowed anymore?
It’s true, Champion! Last year there was an entry (1 for each half) for every single game (if I’m not mistaken and I can’t be mistaken as I am Jose’s loyal book) but this season the entries have had gaps and lags between them. Sometimes it is Mou who takes away my access to the Internet (apparently there were some “issues” that came up and shouldn’t have been leaked to the public like his love for Pipita that is apparently “biased.” Whatever, Mou, you’re the one who wrote it! I get blamed for everything!)
Other times, well, to be honest, though it may seem like I have arms and hands enough to type this and upload my own pages, it’s all a lie. I have others (humans) who help me do those things. Sometimes those humans have run into other obligations (which is insane; what’s more important than Real Madrid or uploading my crisp manufactured pages? Pffffft!)

Thank-you, Champion! We have had some messages about if we’re all right, and yes, we are happy to say that we’re all well. The humans are also sorry if they worried anyone. Silly humans.

This question and ones close to it, we get a lot! Everything from the fonts that are used (obviously Jose’s handwriting—I’ll see if he’s up to licensing it for public use, ;)!) to the programs, images we use, shadows, colors, etc.!
Two things.
1.) Let me first say that I, Jose’s Black Book, am offended that people don’t think I am authentic and they think I am made from a PROGRAM!
2.) I probably shouldn’t have said the first thing because some people apparently do think some of these are authentic, and, well… I’m just going to let the humans take over now before I say anything incriminating. I told you, I get blamed for everything.
Program: Photoshop (CS5)
We get a lot of questions about just how we do the pages, but without going into a lot of detail: we use a lot of layers and drop-shadowing.
We have used Photoshop brushes for tear stains, ink splatters, random paper aging, and for last year’s Champions League map.
Font: Mulder’s Handwriting
If you’re looking for other fonts, like from entries from Perez’s “desk” or Black Book’s “children” pages, please send us a message and we’ll let you know! Fonts can be downloaded at 1001fonts.com & dafonts.com for those who asked.
Images: Most images are found via Google or Daylife. Sometimes our designer (Black Book wants to add “the paper manufacturer, obviously”) creates other basic images like our background paper, puts together the desks, etc..
Gum Stuff: We pick up a lot of images and reviews just browsing the web. There is also a great web-site for all of your gum review/image needs: gumalert.com.
